T tour to Sky Falconry

Post by TonyB » Sun Jun 27, 2021 10:17 pm

Today took the 1924 Model T Coupe on a club tour to the San Diego backcountry to visit the Sky Falconry. There were seven model Ts in the group though a couple had problems on the very rough dirt roads in the back country. There were four Falcons on display and one gave a great demonstration in the very hot conditions. Several of us used gloves and had the bird land on our extended hand. Great experience.
After the demo we visited Alpine for a delightful Mexican lunch and then home

Sorry to have missed the tour. Since it was on Sunday, and we went to church. Then in the afternoon went to the Alpine Womans' clubhouse and attended a lecture on Mountain Lions. On the way, we saw your car parked along Victoria Drive with no one there. Did you have a problem with the car? We have 3 Mexican restaurants and at least 4 taco shops in town. Where did you have lunch?

The coupe ran great but were restricted to how many cars we could take into the preserve, so the two seater coupe was left outside in preference to the 4/5 seater tourings.
