A friend asked if I could tell what kind of car this is and I did not have an answer, so now I bring it to this great group of knowledgeable folks. It appears to have a 1931 Ohio plate and the friend that is asking is the little girl with her dad holding her. She is now 90 something. Thanks Jim

Re: Help identifying car in photo
Appears to be a 1929-30 Chevrolet. Bumper style is also an indicator Others can confirm
1929 https://www.google.com/search?q=1929+ch ... efox-b-1-d
1930 https://www.google.com/search?q=1930+ch ... efox-b-1-d --
I checked more deeply at the bumper it looks more like a 1930

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: Help identifying car in photo
I would say the car is a 1929 or 1930 Chevrolet. The 1928 Chevrolet has a little different radiator shell thain the car in the picture. The 1931 Chevrolet also has a different radiator shell.

Re: Help identifying car in photo
I'm pretty sure that's a 1929 Cheverolet. The 1928 Chevrolet was a different animal, with a smaller and less refined radiator shell, a 4-cylinder engine, and generally boxier, cruder styling. The 1929 model was styled more like the Cadillac-Lasalle cars and was the first year to feature the six cylinder engine, among other refinements. They looked better than the Ford offerings, but the Fords held up much better out in the real world. (Not that I wouldn't be proud to own a '29 Chevrolet)
