The Little Ford Rambled Right Along

Post by RodellJunior » Sat Feb 19, 2022 6:46 pm

Preparing for the MTFCA "Wonderful Wisconsin" National Tour, I have a band scheduled to play which wants to learn some of the era Model T songs.
I have sheet music for some, but I don't have "The Little Ford Rambled Right Along". Would someone be able to scan or photoscan their copy of sheet music and email it to me? Thanks, Jim. jcerodell at hiercommnetworks dot net

Glad you were able to find a copy of sheet music. I think I have that on a CD along with several other Ford songs prepared by someone in the club. I keep it in my pickup and when I tow the T on a long distance, I listen to it.

I have a Cylinder of that for my 1911 Model B Standard phonograph that I have played in the back of our 1912 Open Express.

George... That's good news! ..... How would we hook a link to play that here on the forum? I have both cylinder and diamond disc Edison recordings of that song. And three years ago we donated a copy of that record and did some maintenance on their diamond disc player at our museum. Thanks in advance if you could link this recording on the forum.... And give me some hints on how to do it since I'm totally ignorant...almost... LOL !!!

In this 1926 hit a Model T is the punch line at the end.
The music is available online.

To post a link here, just find the song online, copy the URL, and paste it in the composition box.

Billy Murray recorded The Little Ford Rambled Right Along for both Victor and Edison. The restored Edison recording has the better sound quality.

Jerry,
Yes, I have the sheet music for "0n the Old Back Seat of the Henry Ford". Thanks for the link to the recording.
Though the song is really about the Model A, I like the tune of "Henry's Made a Lady out of Lizzy". I have that one also.
