Good day. I have searched past posts, but have been unable to find a notation for the correct length of brass tube for an early 1915 Rubes Horn tube. I am looking for the length of the tube assembly from the start at the 90 degree brass elbow, up to the bracket end that mounts on the door WITHOUT the slip in reed or any adaptors for the horn bulb.
Thank you very much.
Andy

Re: Early 1915 Rubes Horn - Tube dimension
I bought a 1915 horn setup and used it on my 14, I have since replaced every part, including the horn. The only part left from the 15 setup is the tubing and the reed. I measured 19” from the 1 1/2” brass part that threaded onto the elbow to the horn bulb bracket. So that piece of tubing is now 20” total if 1/2” is inside that brass part and the horn bulb bracket. I would say it was originally 21” maybe 22”. I broke it down by the horn and had to cut a little part out and re-solder it but no more than 2 inches, I’d say closer to 1”.
