There are vertical guide strings tacked to the upholstery panels that keep the shade close to the window

I assumed this was correct when I did my '25 Tudor.

If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

When did I do that?

Rich. Can you post a closeup of that fastener? Does it screw into the upholstery panel? Here is a photo of the shade of my ‘26 coupe. The shade has the cord on each lower corner, but I never could figure what it attached to. Thank you. Jim Patrick.

PS. Someone said the cord was to keep the shade close to the window, but I don’t think that is right because the cord is loose when the shade is pulled down. I think it is a shade arrester to prevent the shade from retracting too high if it suddenly released. The only way it could hold the shade down and the cord tight is if a boat cleat was used on each side to wrap the cord around, but I prefer the fasteners Rich used that make the cords into a shade arrester.
