1910 Ford Model T Brochure
Need some advice/information on what I have. 25+ years ago I bought a box of car books at a farm auction in my State and these two Ford books were in the box. A 1910 Ford Model T color brochure and a 1910 Model T Souvenir Booklet. I put them in plastic bags and stuck them in my desk. I think they are originals. The brochure has the label of the Peninsular Engraving Co. at the bottom of the last page. What I have found is that Peninsular was part of the Detroit Tribune in the early 1900s. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Rick
As a owner of a 1910 I believe you have a desirable addition to any ones documentation / memorabilia of that model year.
Preserve it and maybe make a digital copy of it to share with others. The colours (if original) are amazing and I for one would
like an original like that to accompany my vehicle.
There is another iconic photo that I’ve been trying to obtain a copy of and it’s a 1910 coming out of a very dusty section of road
which I also believe was a advertising brochure / booklet. Great that you saved it!

Re: 1910 Ford Model T Brochure
Thank you Alan! The brochure has 30 pages and details the Model T models for 1910, engine information, drive train, lubrication, driving controls and maintenance. I like your idea of a digital copy to share with others. I've wondered if these publications are maybe a MTFCA museum item so others can see the original documents from 1910.

Rick.
30 Pages!! Gee Wizz that’s even better. Agreed, MTFCA Museum would be a great place to start. Please keep me updated
as eventually I would appreciate the opportunity to but a electronic colour copy of it.

Re: 1910 Ford Model T Brochure
Alan L, Depending upon how "tech savvy" you are? The photo shared by Terry B shouldn't be much of a problem. There are limits. But I left clicked (cursor on the posted image) the photo Terry B posted, and got a near full screen version of it. It does depend upon your Operating System! On mine, and fairly common, cursor again on the near full screen picture, RIGHT click the photo, select "Open Image in New Tab" and left click on it. You should have a new tab open up with some sort of title for the photo or its electronic size. THIS new tab image can be enlarged even further whereas the previous near full screen image will not enlarge on SOME operating systems. Hold down the control key (ctrl ) and tap the plus key ( + ) until the desired enlargement is reached. Control key and tap the minus key to reduce the size.
At the least, this will tell you roughly how much detail is contained in the electronic image. SOME photo processing programs will allow you to print photos enlarged, some programs are not so good (don't ask me for help with that? I am not that good myself!)
If you have a home printer with photo capabilities, you should be able to buy photo paper and print a copy at home up to whatever limit your printer has.
You could also transfer the data (we use "jpg") to some sort of memory stick or device and take that to an office supply or services store that offers photo printing in-store. There are also mail services that offer photo printing, but sometimes a bit more costly due to postage and handling costs. Although you might be able to send the data to them in an email attachment.
I of course, have a USA common standard 8 1/2 X 11 inch printer, and have printed a fair number of photos I wanted from the internet. Unfortunately, the photo processing program I used to have and really liked that I paid good money for on the promise of a lifetime of managing my pictures? Became obsolete as operating systems were "upgraded" and no longer can function. The photo processing program I have now isn't half as good as the one I paid a bunch for.
I do have a couple photos I paid to have done because I wanted something larger than my printer could do.

Found a few images of the photo, attempted to colorize one

this is the image in the PDF above. You may get better results printing from it on glossy photo paper --

Color enhanced a second time --

Original lightened

Hi Wayne and thank you for the detailed reply.
I’ve found someone (half my age!) that believes he can do it for me!
Having these two photos in my garage in a A4 size or larger will make my day!
Thank you

Here is my version. I have an Epson 700 and can print up to 13x19. This printer does a great job on color prints.

Re: 1910 Ford Model T Brochure
You-all beat me to it! Yes, it should copy nicely directly from this forum. Thanks for the tips.
I can't recall the original source of this image but do recall seeing it offered quite a few years ago on evil-bay as a real antique photograph. I saved the image "just in case" and of course, I was out-bid on it. No idea where it ended up. I've heard from some that it's actually a photo of Poncho Villa. If you google "Poncho Villa and his Model T' you'll find some info on it and can actually buy an 8x10 print on Amazon. Whether the Ponco Villa story of him escaping in his 1909 Model T is true of not is questionable, but it's a great image regardless of who it is or what the circumstances might be. I've used the image in a couple of seminars I've done for AACA on early automobiles.
