How to Drag into the Message Box ??
Howdy everyone. I’m trying to list Model T parts for sale but am unsuccessful in adding pictures. Under ‘Attachments’ it states :“You may also attach files by dragging and dropping them into the message box.” Please simply tell me how that’s done. I’m using a smart phone but it has a dumb operator

Dumb operator, that is why I never take photos on my phone!

I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

George,
It may be easier to upload them to your computer and then download them to the forum.

As Perry said, I do believe "drag and drop" is a computer function, not a smartphone function. But it's not hardperry kete wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 1:43 pmGeorge,

to upload your phone photos to this forum using your phone. It's my preferred method actually. Usually tho, I find I have to
crop out a lot of "unnecessary" area in order for the photo to be accepted by the forum program. No big deal once you get accustomed to the annoyance!

Thanks Perry and Tim. I’ll try that. The PC is under the rule and auspices of the wife. I’ll enlist her as a trainer

What kind of smart phone - Apple iphone or what everyone else has Android.George House wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 12:43 pmHowdy everyone. I don't see how this can be achieved easily on a smart phone, drag and drop means moving an image from one window to another without lifting your finger off the image. I just watched video for the iPhone 15 - tried it on my iPhone 7 and it can't work because of the software (may be available on a later iPhone. In any case the process seemed to be more difficult than just as described below
On my iPhone the easiest way is to go to "Attachments" and select ADD FILES, That gives me a choice to select one from my Photo Library, take a Photo or get from another source like the CLOUD. I take Photo Library, select the one I want by touching the image the ADD, and it goes back to the discussion. easy

The drag& drop video had going from ADD Files to the Photo Library putting ones finger on the selected Photo, keep it there sliding down would to cause the window to change then maneuvering over to the Form's window to open it and the dropping it. Really much more difficult and more steps .

Drag & Drop from a PC uses a similar process: requires you to go to your library to select the file image (unopened) and drag it into the message box.
That works. So this may help - you need to move all the data about the picture, its icon, not the expanded image.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: How to Drag into the Message Box ??
I might’ve figured it out. BTW, its an Apple IPhone. But I was trying to get in real close for pictures to catch the fine points like the ‘K’ for Kelsey lug nuts. But I’ve now learned where the ‘crop’ button is on my pictures. I couldn’t crop the pics because I was too close and they were too large. So I’ve moved back a few feet to enable me to ‘crop’ the pictures and allow potential hobbiests to enlarge on their phones.... yaay ME !
