Tell her that's a deal. If it would be that nice you'd be doing it anyway

There is a reason that they call it the bed of a truck.

Well if you do buy a car/ truck at the swap meet, get the sleeping in it out of the way while you’re there. That should clear things up at home. Although we all know the rules are a moving target… well at least where I live.

Unless it is 100% complete, I call it part of a car. Parts if you will. Take off one dust cover from the valve stem and your golden.

What happens if two cars follow you home, instead of one? Put them end to end and sleep in both?

"What happens if two cars follow you home, instead of one?"

That's a good idea! Tell the wife that you are sorry and she is right. (That's all that matters to most wives anyway) To make up for your transgression, you'll sell one of the cars. Then she will think she has won - and you'll get to keep the car you wanted all along. Just be sure the sacrificial car you buy is cheap and not one you want to keep! :)

Make sure it's a black car, or you may have trouble explaining how a black lab followed you home when the car is green, red, or blue. :)

My wife saw one for sale at an estate sale and told me. I went down the same day and bought it! 65 years ago she held a flashlight for me while I crawled under my car to work on it after dark and I knew she was the right one!

Then you get to have fun all spring and summer camping in your new "T." (Or two, if another somehow magically follows you home.)

I’m lucky too. I stopped getting Hemmings because my wife of 45+ years kept finding cars and stuff she wanted but we couldn’t afford!
