Old Photo - Early T Runabout
I don't know where this was taken but thought it might look good on the new forum.
When did I do that?

Califunny ? Great photo. Thanks, Rich. It's fun to be reminded how early motoring spawned a whole new fashion industry in special gear, especially for the ladies. Dusters had been around for years, of course, but now they needed goggles, veils, special hats and hat covers, gauntlets, etc., etc.

That's a pretty darn early car...I wonder what color it is, and if it is really period...The color looks too light for what I understand to be factory available colors...
as an aside, the owner of the car appears to be African-American, making this photo very unusual and the original negative/print highly collectible

Re: Old Photo - Early T Runabout
Looks to be an early '09 car with a belt-and-suspenders top when gray was still an available body color. At that time, a gray top was also available and look at the black locking iron in contrast to it. Pretty snazzy combination. Maybe someone talented with coloring things could make it come to life.

Thank You!
I had absolutely forgotten about Grey...I knew it was quite an early car by the features that could be discerned. It really is a neat photo.

Early 1909 runabout, up to July 1909 these were painted in a Dove Gray.
Early features like wood running board covered with linoleum, black trim on wood body moldings, entire body, chassis and top irons in body color.
