Re: posting pictures
The biggest reason I have found is that some of the pictures are too large to post. The area of the screen that tells you they are too large is kind of hard to read depending on the device you’re on. When I have an image that won’t post, I take a “screenshot” of it on my iPad and that makes a smaller image in size (pixels) but it’s still easy to see.

Re: posting pictures
I take photos with my phone, Google Pixel 5. I can't post photos that I take in the 16:9 aspect ratio. Photos in the 4:3 ratio always post ok. I use "Paint" on the computer to reduce pixel count on wide photos. They usually post if I save them at 1200 pixels wide.

Re: posting pictures
I post from my iPhone and regularly get the yellow triangle failure to up load. I “edit” the photo, rotate it 90 degrees, save, edit again, rotate back to normal, save, then it always uploads without error.

The file size limits favor landscape orientation pics. File size limits can be seen if you click on the warning triangle that appears after a file fails to load

Re: posting pictures
I use an Android phone. I always get the dreaded yellow triangle. No matter how small I make my pictures, they still will not work. As far as I know Chris and Jeff have not been able to solve this problem. If I take pictures with a camera, no problem. I wish I could contact the software writers, but have no clue who they are.
Therefore I no longer post any photos. Ca Sera Sera

Re: posting pictures
I take pictures with a real camera and rarely have any trouble posting them from a desktop computer. On the rare occasions when I get the dreaded yellow triangle telling me that my file is too big, I just reduce the size by ten pixels and it posts. If a photo needs size reduction, cropping, brightening, color correction, etc., I make the changes to a copy and keep the original file unchanged.
The inevitable often happens.

Re: posting pictures
The issue with any picture taking method for adding them to the Forum is "resolution". Cameras in Today's are able to take very high resolution photos (lots of data required to do that) and that's the problem. So if you reduce the resolution of a photo it should upload. I'd try 2M pixels (16:9) and if that didn't work the next one downDHort wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 1:34 pmI use an Android phone. I always get the dreaded yellow triangle. Look at the instructions in Part 2: How to Change Picture Resolution When Shooting on Android
