The pad between the dash and the body are shown in the attached photos. I want to replace them. I would like some photos of the exposed portion like in the first photo.
Any suggestions what to use as a replacement?

this isn't the first time you've asked this question, so, not for the first time, I'll say that the welting you're talking about should come with pretty much any interior kit you purchase

Fender welting...

Or, make your own using the appropriate material and a sewing machine with a piping foot. (You can use vinyl insulated electric wire for the filler)

Jerry, that welting is an extension of the interior down in the foot well...it isn't a unique 4" strip just for the "dash". I've posted pix of what it is, what it is supposed to look like on the other thread about this very same subject on this very same car, a few weeks ago and am frankly disinclined to search all over again for the pictures yet again.
I suppose someone could use any old thing in there, but in the end, is going to look pretty strange and patched up if it is.

Scott, You are right. I did previously have a post regarding this piece, April 27. I forgot that I had that post, and it didn't show up on my search of BLB27.
My recent post asked for photos of the pad in place. I would still like to see some.
