Generator Bench rebuild. II

Post by Been Here Before » Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:44 am

Finished the generator rebuild. Followed instructions and suggestions found in "Automobile Engineering," 1921, Vol VI. pp322-353.

Cleaned commutator, new brushes, repaired brush insulators, cleaned segments and cut mica.

Works fine.

Thank you Snyders.

I did it myself, with the help of "Automobile Engineering," 1921, Vol VI. pages 322 to 353, an order to Snyder's, and patience.... . Oh, there was a 6 volt wet cell and analogue multi-meter involved.

Does "Automobile Engineering" provide better or more useful rebuild information over the T1 manual?
