Early this morning friend Art and myself decided to do a little country tour, with a donut stop along the way. This pales compared to Richs Journey posts and Bernhards group but thought I'd share some scenery. Sadly we cut the tour short after about 4 hours as it was raining and showed no signs of easing much. Still a good tour. So was the donut!

It's a pretty day here, but a bit warm. 20 miles south, the NWS station reports 107 F at 4:30 PM CST. About 80 miles north, the NWS reported 110 F at 4 PM CST. Both reading are actual temperature; heat index readings identical. Toward Dallas, temperatures are a few degrees lower, but the heat index figures are even higher. I'd hate to be outdoors there today.

It looks like fun. We took a little drive this afternoon. We can't let the Summer get away from us without some nice drives.
Thanks

When did I do that?
