I don't think that "invented" would be the appropriate wording, more like designed.

It’s interesting,
That’s been on the History Channel before and it gets shown from time to time again on TV fairly often. It’s from The Men Who Built America series they did a few years ago.
For a purist it’s not exactly correct when they show some T’s not exactly correct for a certain time period but it’s a very good history in general about the industrial revolution and how cars played a big part in it and Ford was the trailblazer. Good stuff!
