Ford "Sixes" return to Piquette
As we approach Old Car Festival, a few of us are tentatively planning to meet at Piquette Friday Afternoon. For anyone interested, and in town for OCF, we tentatively plan to have three Model K, and the "light six" (1906/07 prototype, one of one) converge on the Piquette plant Friday afternoon. With the Porter "K" on display, this will make five Ford sixes at Piquette, possibly the most Ford sixes at the plant since it ceased operations in 1910. For good measure we plan to have a "B" there also, making two Model B onsite.
Looking forward to Old Car Festival, and to seeing many old friends.
Cheers,
Rob

Phil,
My plan is to arrive around 1:00-2:00. As with all things old car related, as well as herding cats, times are flexible...

Aside from the topic at hand, I'm amazed at the last picture. Is that a church next door to the plant, and a home behind it?
Times sure were different back then! I've seen pictures of Piquette Street from back in the day and I know it was very residential as well...

Rob,
Did you have a look at the Bellevue site while you were in the area? It'd be interesting to know more about the building that remains...
Luke.

John,
You are correct. Hugo has the car in Canada, but he was kind enough to bring it to OCF.
Excellent car.
