Have you ever wondered bout these things?

Post by TRDxB2 » Sun Dec 11, 2022 2:18 pm

• How is it that the government can’t control gasoline prices…but the weather is something they can fix?
• We’re churning out a generation of poorly educated people with no skill, no ambition, no guidance, and no realistic expectations of what it means to go to work.—Mike Rowe
• If kids knew what they wanted to be at age eight, the world would be filled with cowboys and princesses. I wanted to be a pirate. Thank goodness nobody took me seriously and scheduled me for eye removal and peg leg surgery—Bill Maher
 • Why were we told to lower our AC usage on hot days to prevent overwhelming the electric grid while simultaneously being told to trade in our gas cars for electric vehicles?
• Why is canceling student debt a good idea? Does it make sense to reward people who do not honor their financial commitment by taxing the people who do?
• Does it make sense to cut off oil from an ally and buy it from an enemy who calls for your death?
• Are we living in a time where intelligent people are silenced so that stupid people won’t be offended?
• Is this a great description of America: Andy has left town and Barney is in charge?
• Why is talking sexually in the workplace considered sexual harassment to adults…but talking about sexuality to children K-3 at school considered education?
• Who else had a ‘ministry of truth”…Hitler…Goebbels…Stalin
• Eliminating the production of 500,000 American barrels of oil a day to buy 500,000 barrels a day from Russia is simply…well…stupid.
• I saw a movie where only the police and military had guns; it was called Schindler’s List.
• If your electric car runs out of power on the interstate, do you walk to a charging station to get a can of electricity?
• Why are we running out of money for Social Security and Medicare and not for welfare, illegals and free college?
• I just got a full tank of gas for $22. Granted, it was for my lawn mower, but I'm trying to stay positive.
• There is a coin shortage. America is officially out of common sense.
• If an 18 year old isn’t mature enough to own a firearm, then maybe five year old's aren’t mature enough to change their gender
• Sign in Texas: DON’T VOTE FOR WHAT YOU FLED
• Mice die in mouse traps because they do not understand why the cheese is free. Just like socialism.
• The most powerful governments on earth can’t stop a virus from spreading…but they say they can change the earth’s temperature if you pay more taxes.
• If you don’t want to stand for the national anthem, perhaps you should give your legs to a veteran who lost his. That way a real man can stand in your place.
• If socialism is so good and capitalism is so bad…then why aren’t the caravans heading to Venezuela?
• Why is it that when archaeologists find human remains, they always determine that they are either male or female and none of the other hundreds of genders?
• Why is it that so many are more outraged that Brittney Griner is stuck in Russia than they were about Americans being stranded in Afghanistan?
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
Mick Jagger

Of course the politicians can change the Earth's temperature by raising your taxes, that way you won't be able to buy fuel or pay your electric bill! P.S. If they catch you contriving to build a Class Alpha combustion you will be allowed to stay warm in a public holding facility originally designed for society's Dregs!

Seriously Frank,
Thanks for posting that. It should be on billboards all across America. Unfortunately with todays literacy it would have to be on signs with
4 words or less in two or more languages like Burma shave signs and would stretch all the way across the country. So no one would see all
of them.

I guess it could be translated into TxtSpk, flanked with targeted STD medication ads, and delivered directly to mobile devices, or delivered in very short sentences consisting of one and two syllable words, accompanied by electronic cacophany. They have done a great job in cooling down the global warming in the Buffalo area and they have reversed the drought in California. They have increased the snow pack in the Sierras which will probably cause the glaciers on the highest peaks to grow. Wonderful job.

It's truly wonderful how generously Mother Gaia has reacted to the Omnibus Spending Bill! Soon, the bodies in Lake Mead will again be safe from gawkers, the Polar Bears will dance once more, and the skiing will be great! Oh, and Santa is now safe from drowning. Too bad about Rudolph. He slipped off a melting ice floe and an orca swallowed him whole...

The state I live in had it on their agenda to talk about spending for the climate

Maybe we can sell our gas stoves, water heaters & furnaces to the 3/4s of the world that use wood to cook & heat with? Or convert our
gas appliances to wood or coal.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We must ban all use of wood from any source derived!

BAN PAPER NOW!

Place a steeply progressive, escalating surtax on all other wood products with total phase out targeted for no later than 2028!!!!!

We need to seriously consider sensible taxation of flatulence and exhalation!

We must take action against these horrific gas appliances! To be replaced by the much safer (and more profitable) new Tesla range. Battery powered for your convenience, and recharged with exceptionally safe organic black coal. Pay no mind to the man behind the curtain, or the contents of his investment portfolio…

California is proposing a "Mileage tax" for all vehicles driven. They want everyone to bike, walk, or take public transit. How do you determine mileage on a car without a speedometer? I would propose a mileage tax on electric vehicles only, because they don't pay gas tax. Here we have federal gas tax, state gas tax, and sales tax on everything including the taxes. Every time they increase the taxes it is for "infrastructure", but they use it for removing parking and placing bike lanes even in business districts. Whatever happened to the "Americans with disabilities" laws? How do disabled people reach the stores and restaurants if they can't park in the handicap zone in front?
If I were younger and didn't have the house all paid off, I would probably leave the state. Unfortunately most of those who leave the state are the ones who can afford to pay taxes and those left behind are on the street and yet the borders are open for all who will come?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

But, isn't it obvious that California and the Mountain States all desperately need more population? More people, more electric meters, more water meters, more roads, more traffic, more litter, more homeless, more and bigger cities, more buses, more trains, more major international seaports for more Chinese junk, and lots and lots more housing developments, apartment blocks, tiny houses, sprawling mega-schools, sprawling prisons, gargantuan airports, tunnels, trains to everywhere and nowhere, and thousands upon thousands more convenience stores? And Wal Mart, of course! A superstore on every ten acres! More freeways with free charging lanes and 30-story interchanges with huge LED screens showing maps, warnings, new edicts, popschlock advertising, new fashions in masks, scrip med blather, and Drag shows? Oh, and LOTS more POWERLINES! A thick and ever-denser webwork of those really huge power line with lots of sub stations and battery farms with garrisons of armed guards!! Solar farms! Wind farms! Pot farms! Land fills! It's gonna be so green! You Betcha! Oh! I forgot! You can't have too many mega-airports, with hundreds of 800,000 pound oil-fueled airplanes jetting in and out 24-7-365 and plenty of paved parking with charging stations for flyers' Eco-EVs!

I thought of an invention, but have not done anything to prove it would work. I would underground all the electric transmission lines under the major highways and then make cars, trucks, and buses which run by induction. They would pay per mile driven, but all would go the same speed, so there would be no traffic jams. There would then be a way to disengage from the induction engine and switch to either electric or gasoline engine to take the off ramps and drive on surface streets. There would also be more off ramps than on ramps to avoid traffic pile up to the induction road. Perhaps close the off ramp if it is full and the driver could take the next open off ramp.

The inductive roadway idea has been explored, but I think there are problems with losses to the earth and the fact that the vehicle's inductive pickup would have to be very close to the road surface to collect the needed power. Brushless motors have to have a very narrow air gap between to the field and armature to be efficient, and I think you'd have the same situation with an inductive coupled car, which would essentially be half of a linear inductive motor placed on a chassis with a cabin attached. Billing users and preventing disruption by idiots would likely be problematic. Subways and track trolleys have always used some kind of sliding or rolling contact with the conductive element, which is unsuitable for surface roadways. The maglev idea seems to be closer to something that might be practical for vehicles that run on a trackway. In my opinion, with the best batteries available today, a hybrid road vehicle with a modest size battery pack is the best thing going.

I can seem it now. You depart on a road trip and your debit card is being charged while you are moving. You are unaware that after you started your trip that local Governments were allowed to add a local option surtax bring your bill to a level that if they took all of the money you have your great grandchildren will still be paying for the post college graduation road trip!

The tax robber barons would love it. They'd track you everywhere and tax everything... every watt of power, every mile traveled, and every stop would be tracked and logged. Any and every purchase of any kind whatsoever would be tracked, logged and taxed, with an ever-expanding schedule of fees and surcharges added, based on any excuse you could imagine and then some. Convenience taxes, system access fees, Time of day surcharges, congestion surcharges, low vehicle occupancy charges, administrative fees, hotel and motel taxes, personal bio emissions fees, red meat, cheese, carbohydrate, sugar and egg surcharges, and added charges across the board to fund expanded services for the various underserved communities of need, and, of course, substantial environmental impact fees and taxes.

A few months ago we got a debit card from the state of California for $700. We spent it for groceries etc. A couple days ago I got a form from California to add to my income tax return to tax us on that 700! So they taxed someone to get the money for that card and then taxed the people who received those cards! Yet there are those who really need those cards who don't receive any.

The wonderful state of Califunny has decided to charge state income tax on state paid disability payments. I know a disabled fire fighter injured in a 100% work related injury falling thru a roof fighting a fire working for the state. After drawing this disability for several years the state decides to charge 10% income tax on a disabled state employee that was hurt on the job, checked and rechecked by state and independent doctors and they determined he was unable to work or continue his career.

Seems that's double taxation, seems the original founding fathers wrote laws specifically against double taxation. Seems those lawmakers we vote in and hire to look out for us, don't know how to read in my opinion.

The state of Washington is governed by a tax and spend Damnacrat. Spending millions on useless and non functional give-a-way programs. He is not bright enough to put forth his own plans, he just like sheep, he copies Califunny. He is going to start a trial program to make drivers to pay by the mile driven, forget the fact that Washington State has one of the highest gas tax in the US. I'm thinking the value of my model t and model a will go up because they don't have an OBD2 plug to suck the information for the pay as you go system they are going to use.
just sayin

frontyboy.
