Valentines Day reminder.

Post by jiminbartow » Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:04 pm

Guys, don’t forget Valentines Day is tomorrow. If you’re like me you don’t care if you wife or girlfriend gets you anything, but they sure care, so don’t forget to get her a nice card, candy or a gift to let her know you care. Jim Patrick

This morning my wife reminded me to pick up a prescription I needed. On the way home the light bulb came on that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! I stopped at the local Dollar store and got one! After I got home it occurred to me that we almost always wait to get the prescriptions when we go together for groceries and etc and usually don’t go to pick up one prescription.
Anyway I’ll give the card in the morning! 👍❤️👌😉

Maybe somthings going on here!

Jim, when you're hanging onto a steep roof with a rope in one hand and a paint brush in the other, nothing says "I love you" like a large paid-up insurance policy

Good one Scott. I’m safer than that, though… I have both hands on the rope and the paint brush in my teeth. LOL. Jim Patrick

Don't forget to be at the Walmart when they open Wednesday and stock up on candy at half price. :)

Don’t get the wrong idea ! The cartoon is a play on the 1929 Valentines Day gang hit that is famous in movies, etc. (Gangsters are on the other side of the door, NOT a wife or girlfriend)!

From Wikipedia:

The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre was the murder of seven members and associates of Chicago's North Side Gang that occurred on Saint Valentine's Day 1929. The men were gathered at a Lincoln Park, Chicago garage on the morning of February 14, 1929. They were lined up against a wall and shot by four unknown assailants, two dressed as police officers.

The assailants were thought to be part of Al Capone’s gang but nobody knows for sure, since all the witnesses were killed. Al Capone who was mortal enemies with the leader of the Northside gang, Bugs Moran, had an alibi as he was at his estate in Florida. Bugs, who was the main target, was supposed to be present at the garage where the massacre had occurred, but was late. He arrived a few minutes later and was heard to say, “Only Capone kills like that”.

Oh gosh, I know what it represents. I watched that movie when I was younger and it leaves an impression that isn't funny.
That's why I called it twisted humor. So why did you show it? ;) Now I'm pullin' your chain.
