Looks good. Period as in ww2 era. With that A sticker, I guess that's a real "doctor's" coup.

I just did a little research, the A sticker was for lowest priority and the most common, 3 to 4 gallons a week. B was for higher priority for people in a military support industry, up to 8 gallons. C were granted to persons deemed very essential to the war effort, such as doctors.

I guess it's not a doctor's coup after all. :D

I see that Craig Breedlove passed on April 4th at age 86. He was big news when he set astonishing land speed records in the 1960s. 500 mph and 600mph. RIP Criag.
Breedlove.jpg
This photo of him pulling the "Spirit of America" out of his Father's garage reminds me of building Ts in my Father's garage about the same time. White T-shirts, neighbors houses and two strip driveways seem so long ago. Life was simple then, in the '60s.

Hi, Rich. Thanks for letting us know about Craig Breedlove's passing and for that great photo.

I was following his exploits with much interest back then. Supposedly, on one of his runs he lost it and skidded out of control for almost a mile and wound up in a lake. When help arrived he announced that for his next trick he was going to set himself on fire. As you said, rip, Craig. Bob

That reminds me of Fred Mariott's comment about his 1907 Stanley wreck. A doctor was the first one to reach him and put his eye back in its socket. "That's my best eye now."

I like the Coupe Tad and am glad to see your doors open the right way.
I thought this '25 Dodge was interesting with the running board being "stepped through". That doesn't happen on a T.

Rich, thank you. The coupe is running your plugs right now. That Dodge has seen better days but the wheels look sharp!

The rain isn't much warmer than the snow, but seeing it through the window, still gives me a warm cozy feeling on days I don't drive it.

So this is how I came to have a Model T in my life... I drew a picture of one!
Not long after I drew this picture, I had paid the deposit on the Model T which I now own!

Had a friend (long passed) who was an award winning press photographer who used to say that if you took a couple of thousand pictures the odds were good a couple would be worth using.
I remember an author in FLYING Magazine back in the film days, who was asked why he took so many pictures when he was writing an article on a flight test; he said that after flying to the location, renting a car, and purchasing food, film was the least of all of his expenses.

It's great catching up on what I missed. When I get a good, working camera again — watch out!

Here's a front end Friday shot of the radiator on a '16 couplet a friend is temporarily fostering. It belongs to The Sage of Oblong, IL.

Rich,

Is it a light lit, or a lit light? I hope I'm the only one who ponders these mysteries. :?

I'm afraid you are not the only one who ponders these mysteries. Is it afraid or a freight? for instance.
A lit light might be seen from the other side. While it's delightful, wouldn't delighting make the flame go out?
I try to do my pondering while doing a useful task but not always.
Much thanks for the wisdom.

44 years old and a Chemical Engineer. Careful cranking without engaging the ratchet saved his arm.
