WTB: Hassler Springs with Part Numbers
I’d like to buy Hassler beehive springs that are stamped with their part number. Below are examples of a 39 and a 40 with the location of the stamped number circled in red. Can also pick up at Chickasha. Thanks.

Re: WTB: Hassler Springs with Part Numbers
Not sure what time frame the stamping occurred perhaps early in production but they went to painted colors on the spring coil ends - when ???????
I have bins full of spring mostly paired by O.D. & height - I'll have to get my magnifier out and check for stampings !

Thanks, Steve. I have a few with hints of color, but it’s hard telling what happened over the years. I’d like to get together enough stamped springs to characterize what is what from dimensional and spring rate perspectives - the idea being that that data could then be applied to non-stamped springs.

Does the information show Hassler spring for Dodge Brothers, maybe on a different page?namdc3 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 6:08 pmThanks, Steve. I knew about the springs getting different color marks to indicate what they were fitted too, but most I have seen, that mark was gone many years ago.

I have the FORD literature for the Hassler "beehive" and "pancake" styles. Did a search and found this AD with and small inset saying "contact your Dodge Dealer"Mark Gregush wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:17 amDoes the information show Hassler spring for Dodge Brothers, maybe on a different page?namdc3 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 6:08 pmThanks, Steve. The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: WTB: Hassler Springs with Part Numbers
It will also benefit "Hassler Documentation" if the height of the springs were measured and tied to their stamped number. That might help identify ones where the numbers are no longer visiblenamdc3 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 6:08 pmThanks, Steve. Thank you. I am a regular poster on both DB Facebook pages and visit the DB home page (so very dead, sad) sometimes.TRDxB2 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 1:34 pmHere is the link to the ad there wasn't anything else about HasslerMark Gregush wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 9:58 amAnd you found my car too! While you're packing for Chickasha, check for spring numbers!
