From 2014 - Gas Gauge Fuel Stick
Does any one make their Go-No gauges any more?
See some one was looking for a way to check fuel in their gasoline tank.

Back then in the era would you waste your money buying something like that or save your money so your family could eat... Even sticking a branch in the tank and estimating the depth would tell the driver how much gas he has left

Hummm....
"Easier to just purchase one."
So a $.95 stick to measure gasoline, with postage, local tax (if applicable) is cheaper and easier than a DYI stick...O.K.

Re: From 2014 - Gas Gauge Fuel Stick
I have a wooden door shims on a shelf in each building. They are about $4 for 20 and I use them in the tractors and cars. I don't mark anything, just bottom it out and put my thumb on the edge of the filler neck and pull it out. Obvious to me. They are great in my garden to mark plants and lay out rows. Sometimes I even use them when installing doors.

A plain stick will tell you the level of gas in the tank. The correct gauge stick for your tank will tell you the amount of gas in the tank.

Given the proliferation of branded Gas Stick Gauges _ I would suspect that they were used for advertising and likely given away for free. Unlike today

Like today. Dave Nolting gives them away for advertising, and Steve Lang brought a bunch of Lang's sticks for the freebie table at the midwinter Model T clinic last month.
The inevitable often happens.

The (long gone) local Ford dealer gave away wooden yardsticks with the business name, address, and phone number printed on them.

Re: From 2014 - Gas Gauge Fuel Stick
Love the original, promo sticks.
Knowing the exact # of gallons isnt important to me.
The stick I carry in my T's is a typical bare paint stick. Free with paint store purchases. Dont want to scar up a neat stick.
All I really need to know is if the tank is 1/4 or less when I start out.
