Parking Brake Drum Bolt Circle: Improved vs. 1925 and earlier

Is the bolt circle for the brake drum on the Model T improved wood spoke wheel the same as that found on the 1925 and prior models?

Will 1926 wood spoke wheels fit on the 1925 after swapping the drums?

The wood wheels are all the same, 6 bolts equally spaced on 5” circle. The wire wheels are the only difference as they have 5 bolts equally spaced on 5” circle.

In swapping drums, do not forget to peen the nut to the bolts, and file/grind any thread extension near flush. It only takes a couple of threads extending to screw everything up. Take a pic of how the ends were done before taking apart.

My 26 tourer has 1925 30 x 3.5" wood wheels with the large drum rear axle. It was one of the first to be assembled at the Geelong plant in Australia, around March 1926. Presumably they didn't want to waste the remaining stock of wooden wheels. I've had a couple of 'your car has the wrong wheels' comments, but have seen another 26 of the same vintage (a few hundred apart with body numbers), and it was the same.

The Ford dealer in Kerang, Victoria, has a 26 tourer with 30 x 3.5" clincher wheels. The dealership sold the car new. When it was traded back, they kept it and it is now used by the present generation at the dealership. It is the grey car featured on the present day Mac's biscuit tins, Mac's also having their bakery in Kerang.

I had the pleasure to view an unmolested 27 roadster that was non electric.
It had the kerosene side lights & non demountable wheels. 30 X 3 & 30 X 3.5.

1926's could be bought new with demountable 30X3.5 wheels or when not equipped with starter/generator the nondemountable type.
