Eliminate fluff

Post by Steve Jelf » Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:51 pm

In our discussions of various subjects, some of them going on for several pages, there are often long posts that make several points. Some folks, when responding to a particular point, will quote a whole long post containing that point. Don't do that. Cut the clutter. Quote just the part that pertains to your remark.

That is all. Carry on.

To respond with a quote - go to the post you wish to quote - click the quotation mark on the upper right and the quote will appear with your response box. And as Steve has said - edit the quote to keep our eyes from glazing over. :D

Dale

if you're at your computer, just type "CTRL+" and each time you type those two keys simultaneously, the entire page will grow in size and make reading much easier.

Mst wds cn b rcnzd by lmntg xcs ltrs.

Telegrams were paid per word, so it was customary to leave out little words considered unnecessary.

From a studio publicity department to their star vacationing in Mexico:
How old Cary Grant?

His reply:
Old Cary Grant fine. How you?
