Blockley tire shipping is going up
As of today, two tires to Milwaukee is $578. Delivery has gone up.
The price of the tires did not change. 149 pounds each.
I am sure some of this is due to the exchange rate as well.
$1.27 to the pound.

Re: Blockley tire shipping is going up
The exchange rate fluctuation is small. Earlier this year the rate was 1.2 and £149 per tire amounted to $178.80. At today's rate of 1.27, £149 = $189.23, a price rise of $10.43.
On March 14 the cost of shipping two front tyres was £116.
On June 13 the cost of shipping two rear tyres was £115.
Ten days ago two tires to Parkerfield cost me $542.03. Assuming freight to both towns is about the same, shipping has gone up about $36.

Steve are you driving on your blockley tires to the OCF so we can get a real world report on performance and longevity?

You bet. I've had tire events on most trips, and when I got home last year I was determined to have new rubber on the runabout before it made another trip. So Blockleys it is.

Re: Blockley tire shipping is going up
Now I have received two notices from UPS that my tires will arrive tomorrow and I will owe $12.50 duty on each tire.
They state the tires are coming from World Options Ltd. Is this the name Blockley uses for international shipments?

Re: Blockley tire shipping is going up
Dave, wait till you fit and inflate before you worry about size. Universals are sold as oversize, so the OD of them is likely a little bigger. The Blockleys I saw on our last national rally were looked al least quite adequate, fatter than Wards and Firestones, and the tread to the edge makes them look even more adequate.
I helped a new member mount his set, and was impressed with them. They really do look nice.
