Aluminun head. What make is this

Post by Ken Findlay » Wed Jul 26, 2023 11:32 pm

I have this high compression low head on my 14 roadster. I'm wondering what make it is. My 11 has a factory Ford head on it and doesn't perform nearly as well. I'd like to find another one of these heads
Thanks
Ken

That head comes up for question every now and again...I don't think anyone has ever positively identified it. I find that a little surprising as we have some vendors who have been in the game for a very long time and I'd have thought that someone would remember, but they apparently don't.

Look inside the water outlet passage and you will see Reeder cast in it. It’s almost a 6-1 compression ratio.
Early Ralph Reeder head.

Thanks John and Scott. I had suspected it might be a Reeder head.
Now the search to find another one.

Reeder even made some ford script high compression low heads in the early days.

Ken,

did you get the info I sent you on the new mfg aluminum hi compression head?. I will tell you the head I put on my '14 roadster is incredible for acceleration and pulling up a hill.
If not text me and I will resend it. I sent you his name and phone number last week.

Got your message. Thanks for the info. I talked to Steve about his Z head. It's impressive.
Thanks
Ken

PARKER was another maker of low aluminum heads, also his name inside the water port.
