Quick school show & covered bridge picnic tour

Post by TWrenn » Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:08 pm

Today 5 of us got together and when we met up with the fifth guy, Russ, at a local school there was a class of kids out practicing a fire drill. They were thrilled to see the 5 cars but more thrilled to see Jim Riedys pup, "Hank"! The dog always trumps the cars! It's okay...we're a bit jealous but we love him anyway. Then went on about 20 or so miles to a neat covered bridge, no longer in use but well preserved for a picnic lunch. Then it was 10 miles or so South for a little visit with Joe Bell. Pics tell the story. It was a great day. 72 miles for me..bit further for a couple of other guys.

It’s always a pleasure to stop at Joe’s place. I was just there a couple weeks ago and he graciously donated a bunch of old flywheels for us to bolt unusable crankshafts to, to help the merchants in our historic Depot District make tour information display cases.

Thanks George! She's my favorite car in my herd! Pushing 14K miles on her since I bought her 10 years ago, and I'll top that easily in a week. She purrs like a kitten.

Thanks for the photos Tim. It is very important to share out T's with both the past and future generations. I have been enjoying your 13 Touring all this month on the Langs Calendar!
