WANTED - Sidmore AC Brakes
Good day. I missed the opportunity to purchase a set of reproduction AC Brakes from Mr. Sidmore when he was still living. These reproductions were produced by Mr. Sidmore for small drum rears. I am well aware they are currently not available.
This post is to see if anyone has a set of these brakes on the shelf, purchased but not used for a project. I am looking for a complete set. Bonus if you also have the AC pedal, but that would not be a deal breaker for me.
I am well aware of the other options out there, however, these are the brakes I would like to get my proverbial hands on if I can since my father recently installed his set and I like how they work. I'm not in a hurry to get a set and am willing to be patient.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Andy

Re: WANTED - Skidmore AC Brakes
Larry didn't make large drum brakes, just the small drum.

Re: WANTED - Skidmore AC Brakes
Andrew, you made the same mistake as i did. I know a Larry Skidmore in Spokane. He has a couple of very nice T's, and is quite an old car illustrator. I first thought he must have branched out into the brake manufacture but the brakes were made by Larry Sidmore.

Re: WANTED - Skidmore AC Brakes
What an unfortunate name for a set of brakes!

Re: WANTED - Sidmore AC Brakes
Don's brake set might possibly be a set of the outside brakes that were on the market many years ago and made by Jess Bonar (sp) in Florida.
