That is good news! Hope he takes advice of his doctors and therapists about his recovery and not try to get ahead of things and cause more injury. It takes time.

Just talked to Steve in his new placement.
It was a long, boring ride in the back of an ambo. All he could see was a bit out the back window. 🙁
But! He's there and all settled into his own room on the 24th floor with a westerly view of the city.
So now that he's finally there and working as hard as he can to get his strength back, let's continue to send him cards, etc. and show our support! (A jar of kimchi would be welcomed, as I cannot locate any where I live! 😃 )

His address is:

I do not know for certain that he is still there, however I imagine he should be.

Writing from the 24th floor, overlooking Lake Michigan in Chicago, my typing on a strange computer is none too spry. I will struggle to report that I am getting along well enough for an old man whose heroes are all obsolete. More later after I learn more.

Hey Steve:
We are practically neighbors. I live about 40 miles straight west of where you are. I hope to visit you in person. I got a new knee Oct. 9, and it hasn't run in yet. In a week or two I hope to take the train into the city for a visit. A number of folks from The Midwest Chapter of MTFCI are interested in meeting you in person as well.

Best Wishes.
