Driver door alignment
I recently put the body of my 1925 Coupe back on the frame. Passenger door aligned but driver door didn’t … low by 1/8 inch in the latch and gap at top rear of door. What is the process for aligning/shimming. I’ve loosened the three driver’s side mounting bolts, I’ve placed body to frame shims in various sequences and retightened. I’ve not been able to achieve good alignment. Do I have to mess with passenger side body to frame bolts even though that seems to fit good over there?

Possibility of some frame sag on the driver's side

Re: Driver door alignment
First, see if the hinges on your driver's side door might be bent. If not, put shims behind the lower door hinge in order to "swing" the door upwards and align your latch. If you add a 1/16" shim behind the lower hinge, then place a 1/32" shim behind the middle hinge and no shim at the top hinge.

Re: Driver door alignment
Was it in alignment before you took the body off the frame? What did you do since the body has been off the frame?

Re: Driver door alignment
Alignment wasn’t good when I got it. Thought body to frame shims were supposed to fix it. I cleaned up frame rust, painted it after replacing a couple cracked body to frame brackets.
