Schroeder valve stems.
Past posts have lamented the lack of decent reproduction bridge washers, there being a lack of raised ridge around the hole to more securely crush the tube.
I removed these two assemblies from junk tubes from the barn fresh car I am working on. These are the two Schraeder bridge waters from those stems. The one on the left is Canadian, the other from Great Britain. Note the British one has no pressed in Ridge. Both these old tubes had fabric reinforcements in the rubber around the stems. Perhaps this allowed greater pressure to be applied by the stem nut.
Either way their are genuine Schraeder bridge washers like the reproductions available.

And on the android phone from which I posted them! First time for something new. Just when I thought I was getting quite proficient posting photos. Anyway, the message is the same, genuine Schraeder branded bridge washers are about, with no raised ridge.

Re: Schroeder valve stems.
It is true, the current bridge washers are garbage. Schrader and Dill made them correctly. Why not any more? The same goes for the valves!

Re: Schroeder valve stems.
The reproduction Model A Ford bridge washers available from the vendors have the clamping dimple, but are too wide and need to be cut down and de-burred to Model T dimensions.
