Post by BobP » Wed Nov 01, 2023 2:27 pm

For sale brass jnoBrown carbide generator. good used condition with some dings and imperfections. It is complete except the top part of one clamp that holds the top to the bottom. The lower part of the clamp is there. I am sure if you highly polish it there will be more imperfections that show. Look at the pictures closely. $950. No TEXTING. five07458677eight. Mn.

I was told it could be a Corcoran. I am no authority. Look closely and decide if it is the one you want. I will take $750. Let me know. Call if you are interested, 507 458 6778, Thanks, Bob.

Your generator is a Corcoran. The only difference between a Corcoran and. Jno Brown is the base. A Jno Brown base is a casting with three mounting holes. If you get the base and the Jno Brown badge for the lower tank you will have a Jno Brown. These are the only differences.

I may be wrong but I believe the clamps that hold the 2 tanks together on a JB are the large wing nuts & swivel post vs the cam & clamp.

I know for 1911 (I have a late 1911) & 1912 the Jno Brown generator has the cam and clamp design along with the casted base and badge otherwise the generators are the same. Some Corcoran and E&J’s have the wing and post as you described. If anyone needs a picture just email me.

Wow I bet it took a lot to get that straightened, looks like they had it built upside down. Hehehe

John, it’s always better to start at the bottom, easier to do that when the bottom is closer to your eyes ain’t it??
