Is this a 1921 or older Model T?
I think not, but I'm captioning this photo for our local club newsletter and would like to be sure. The photo is dated August 1921 and the setting is the Pembina River at Evansburg, Alberta. The ferry was replaced by a single-lane road bridge in 1923.
The rail bridge in the background has an interesting history... it was built in 1909-10 in Scotland, disassembled and shipped to Canada and across the prairies to end-of-steel at Evansburg, then erected by means of a temporary wooden trestle bridge. Railway line construction continued from there, eventually reaching the ports of Prince Rupert and Vancouver in British Columbia. This single-track Evansburg rail bridge (at 214' the second tallest in Alberta) is still in use on the Canadian National main line and carries an average 20 trains daily.

It's not a Ford automobile.

Isn’t that a Dodge? The front hubcap looks like a Dodge Brothers.

Dodge fenders look a lot like late Ford T fenders.

Not Dodge Brothers. The spare tire would be slanted out at the bottom because of gas tank location and unless Canadian DB's had different windows, not DB.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Dodges had the gas tank mounted between the rear frame horns. They had a small, box-like cover at the rear of the running boards that gave access to the forward rear spring pin lubrication point.

Anybody else have an idea what the car is? Not a Ford or Dodge evidently. But a car around the same size.

My quick guess would be it is a late teens or early 20's Gray-Dort assembled in Ontario from American Dort parts, Gray having no relation to the Gray engine maker. Here are some photos I pulled from Google and a little snippet of their history: https://www.vdfhs.com/resources/5252/20 ... fGray.html
