WTB working brass sediment bulb

If anyone has an original brass sediment bulb in working order, and seats with the gas line facing forward, please let me know.

Stan, you might be asking the impossible to some extent. The sediment bulbs are on a taper thread. Where they end up oriented is anyone's guess. It depends on the thread wear in both the sediment bulb and the fitting in your tank. You will most likely have to make an adjustment in whatever is offered.

I agree with Allen. It's a tapered pipe thread on the end they. Wear your kinda stuck with what you got as far as position. The bowl itself usually doesn't go bad it's the valve that's bad which is fixable I posted a group of sediment bowl parts ill see if any are brass

Allan, I agree with you too. It works fine, it just seats out of alignment. I might just keep it as is - it's not too far out of alignment and everything else is in working order. At 108 years, probably adds a bit of character.

Just use pipe thread sealant (NOT teflon tape) and screw it in until it is aligned to where you want it but will not go another full turn around!
Always worked for me for the past half century.

That's the one Eric, but yours has a spurious drain cock. With the hex screwing up in close contact with the bulb like that, the thread may have been re-tapped to a parallel thread for that petcock.
