Speedster for sale

Post by elliott1936 » Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:42 pm

My grandson and I started a speedster that he now wants to sell. We bought a rolling chassis with A very nice body without the engine. We put together A model T engine with insert bearing with A model A crank drilled for full pressure oiling. The original car had Fronty head with A side exhaust on the right side of the car. We have A Roof overhead eight valve. The exhaust manifold was modified to receive the original exhaust pipe.
We are open to parting this car and all the parts that we have collected. Please call me about all the items that will go this a complete car or the parts that you may want.
My grandson has no place to store the car after it is completed, and I'm getting too old to complete to construction.
One picture of the body and chassis is included here. I can take pictures of the engine and head.
This built has a lot of very nice stuff. Call for the total price or a break down of the individual parts.
The Roof head was rebuilt and ready to put on to the engine. This head also has the original intake and exhaust manifolds. The engine is almost ready to assemble and put into the frame.

Gee Tom, ..... do you have the space to store the T for your grandson? Down the road I'm sure he's going to kick himself for letting the thing go, all the great memories of the time spent working on it with his grandfather. I'm going through this with a '48 Willys Jeep that I spent hours and hours working on restoring with my dad when I was a kid (note, my younger brother did nothing on the Jeep, other that overheat it and crack the block once it was done). My dad's now 94 and I sure would like to have the Jeep because of all the memories working on it with my him. My brother also wants it because it would be "fun to have".... Down the riad he'll probably have the space, time and money to see the project complete. Sounds like it's got a great start and a lot of the expensive stuff is done.

Yes, I'm A little bumped out that he will not have a speedster for the future. The cost of buying a home here will not be in Derek's future for awhile. I and my wife will need to downsize and sell our home with a four car garage. I have two speedsters that Derek may have if space become available. The cars can be viewed on the NWVSC site. The one for sale is number 32. My two speedsters are number 28 and 48
