What a wonderful era back then… when families chose to take their pictures with antique autos …instead of grandkids

You're funny George! Many times when the family came together they were shown with their cars. Just as with their house. Remember that it took a roll of film which had to be developed, so they would not go around snapping pictures and sending to friends immediately. They had to make negatives, and then print. Make additional prints to send by snail mail to others. When their friends or family came to visit they would take a picture by the car. It was a status symbol to own a car. I even remember when an aunt and uncle who had a little more money than our family bought a small screen black and white television and we would go to their house to watch television. You can see in those pictures people of all ages and I'm sure many were grandparents and grandchildren.
