WTB:WIND WING THUMB NUT
Hello all,
I’m looking for I’ve of these thumb nuts for my Ford Wind Wings.
I misplaced one and really in need of one. So, if there’s one in your hardware pile, send me a price and I’ll send you the money.
The thread pitch is 5/16-24. There’s nothing in the catalogs that come close.
Thanks for your help!
Brent

Re: WTB:WIND WING THUMB NUT
I may be off my rocker but that wing nut for a model T & A windshield is 3/8 x 24 thread so put a Heli coil in one & use use it?

Jack,
I sent you an email. Yes, I’m still in need of one thumb nut.
Thanks!

Re: WTB:WIND WING THUMB NUT
Snyders has them in the Model A section.
A-351000 for $6.95 plus shipping.
If I was younger, I would make a list of all the Model T and Model A parts that interchange.
I found a nice Wire Wheel, ha it painted, bought a new tire and tube for it and went to put on the hub cap and install it on y 1926 T.
The hubcap fell right through the wheel.
Later, I learned it was a 1928 Model-AR wheel!

Re: WTB:WIND WING THUMB NUT
Thanks for all the input.
Jack Putnam shows the correct part.
It is not the same as the Model A windshield clamp nut. It’s close but not the same.
This thumb nut is for the Ford Wind Wings offered during 26-27.
