In this pic you posted, the faces says it all....
The young family on the left happy & proud embracing the new technology....
While old Ma on the right, not happy about being included in the charade, has no doubt given a piece of her mind to the younguns chastizing them about their foolish purchase...
Just a fad and a bunch of nonsense....I ain't even getting in that durn contraption, I'll stick with my horse & buggy thank you...

Seven and seventeen look like the same picture. Funny how some of the people look as though they might have been my ancestors!

Kurt,
I think old Ma is actually a prankster, just waiting to startle everyone with a squeeze of her right hand.

Nice photos of people posing with their autos.

Am I seeing a grease cup on the left spindle to drag link in that 1st picture? I thought they were always oil caps. Thank you again Tom for these wonderfully nostalgic photos.

No. 13 is a 1911 Torpedo roadster. I can't see any headlights, but there is a spotlight mounted on the dash. For me it is unusual to see a Torpedo that doesn't have E&J sidelights. What do you think those are?

That dogbone radiator cap is exactly like the one stolen from my speedster in 2004 on a national rally! I have never found a replacement just like it.

Allan, Are you talking about the first photo, also a 1911 Torpedo roadster? It does have a great radiator cap! The wiring to the electrified headlamps is interesting? Or nasty?
Another question however, is that pin striping on the front cross member?

That's the one Wayne. Some mongrel went around the host town and stole 7 different radiator cap/ornaments in one night, the T's being parked outside various accommodation sites.

Allan, Frankly, I think that you are being too kind merely calling the miscreant a "mongrel". However, as I am a generally polite individual, and this is a family oriented website? I won't use the language I would truly consider them to be.
Sadly, that sort of thing happens way too often. I, and many friends of mine, have over the years lost a few too many items to such lowlifes.
