Help ID Ford script medallion

This was in my parts cookie tin. Thought it was a worker ID badge or cap badge, but it's heavy for that and the backing plate is notched like if was meant to hold onto something specific. Don't know if T or A or even later, but if you've seen something like it in your travels, it would help me find a new home for it. About 2" across and square neck on the back of the round medallion to possibly put a wrench on to hold while tightening the nut.

Agreed. Used after January 1928 through 1929 Model A production. Prior to January, the 1926-7 Model T medallion with Made in USA was used.
