Coil Tester Bargain?

Post by ThreePedalTapDancer » Fri Dec 27, 2024 5:54 pm

This may be a decent bargain or possible a scam since seller has no feedback. Who knows, worth checking out anyways. Missing some pieces?

Maybe good for parts..... But it does need complete flywheel, coil ring and coil box holder plus wiring to be operational....... Does the meter really work?

That is a good price for an excellent start on a Service Products Model 200 HCCT that can be easily made to work properly.
All the hard to find or expensive to reproduce parts are intact. The meter looks sound and can be easily repaired/calibrated.
The spark ring mechanism has been incorrectly modified but is easily corrected. The coil test slot needs repaired but that is simple.
Rewiring diagrams are avalable and it is easy to do.
If youre seeking a cheap HCCT I would go for it.....fast, I doubt it will last long on eBay

I have been dealing in used HCCT's for 40 years and knew that would happen. :)

After 400 plus views of this, I'm very surprised it took 2 days for someone to post of the sale of these HCCT parts that took only 2 hours to sell after posting. Good luck to this first time. eBay seller.
