Sold .. U&J carburetor with intake and choke rod bracket

Post by dobro1956 » Mon Dec 30, 2024 8:43 pm

I have a U&J carburetor with a correct U&J intake. It also comes with a U&J cast choke rod bracket. It is the only correct choke rod bracket I've ever seen. This is an extra Ive had for years to use on my speedster, but I really do not need it anymore. It is a nice clean unrestored carb. It will need the normal machining of the float bowl and carb body. All the original U&J bowls are bad and full of stress cracks. Stan Howe rebuilt lots of these carbs and said they are one of the best "go fast" carbs to use on a model T. He always replaced the original bowls with a Holly G float bowl. This carb has a good Holly G bowl to use. It also comes with the hard-to-find original intake. This intake may never have been used or used very little. The choke rod bracket is marked U&J and is the only one I have seen in over 40 years of messing with model Ts. The throttle and choke shafts are very good and fit tightly. I also have a rebuild kit with gaskets and misc parts that should be most of what is needed. I thought I would give the forum members first shot before I put it on e-bay.
Ill take 300.00 plus 18.40 flat rate shipping in the continental US or actual shipping anywhere else. I accept pay pal, money order, or personal check as payment.
Please contact me at the info in the last photo with any questions. Do not use the forum message board as I may miss your message.
