Interesting Taxi and Country Livery bus in the last photo. Can’t open just left or right side of the hood. Have to remove the entire hood !! I wonder what the reason was for that cantilever dash ? Cigs, maps, Twinkies ?

I was wondering the same thing about that odd Westinghouse box.
While I have no idea what it is, having a career with AT&T I do know AT&T and Westinghouse were playing with mobile wireless phone networks in the 20's....so... portable radio gear is certainly a good guess.
