Wanted, headlight rim to headlight bucket thumb nut and mounting bracket

Post by Craig E. Luton » Mon Feb 03, 2025 8:10 pm

Wanted;

I need the headlight rim to headlight bucket thumb nut and mounting bracket pictured. The thumbnut is .750” in diameter and the distance between fastener holes is 1.050”. If you have any please send me pictures and price. This one is for a Corcoran headlight but I suppose a lot of others are the same.

Lang's and Snyder's carry the thumb nuts, but probably not the brackets. Worth a call, though. :)

Make them, I made one to fix a Victor and it was not made like that. It was a solid billet (stud and base one piece) vs yours having a carriage bolt. Buy a nut and carriage bolt. The only piece you really have to make is the mounting plate. That is a formed flat sheet with some holes. They made them back then, they can be made again today.

Was hoping that someone would have an old broken headlight rim with what I need still on it. I am in the process of building a couple of dies to form the flat part of the unit. I also go by the thought that “It was made once so it can be made again.” My age has a lot to do with my ability of getting things done. Better slow then not at all. I am still in need of a 12-24 brass carriage bolt. Anyone have a notion where I can get one?
