Re: Live and learn!
Dallas, you have the right shelves. The other ones, the bent ones, are for a high radiator, you have a low radiator. Dave

Re: Live and learn!
I think you are right Dave. I have the wrong wood blocks for shelves. Now I need to fix that issue. Anybody have a drawing of the correct blocks? 17-22 hood shelf blocks.

Hank, I may have to get the shirt. Mine is wet from sweat installing all this nice paint and not scratching anything.

Re: Live and learn!
On the new blocks, have they started "angling" or "egging" a couple holes with a drill and bit? I don't recall which ones.
I had "new" blocks from the late '70's on the '18 Runabout under the shelves and they needed to have a drill and bit tipped over a bit to make it all work in two thousand sixteen for me. Oh! It was for the latches! They couldn't "tip" out at all to catch the hood.
I finally learned to click on the pics and they turn right side up. About time I figured that out.

Yes Duane, they angle the hole for the spring so clups angle out a bit. Any tips on getting springs on front hood clips? Seems like it may be a two person job? I tried my valve spring compresser but not working so far.

For me, I just cursed a !lot! if I remember. Wait, that's a bench assembly isn't it? The springs and cotters slip thru the hole in the frame? Shoot, I don't recall.
