Coil Box Identification

Post by Harley_97 » Fri Mar 07, 2025 3:04 pm

I'm looking though the Model T Ford parts Identification guide volume 1, trying to figure out what year car this coil box fits.
It looks like the11-12 Hinze coil box, but the latches for the top are different than what the book shows. Is this a coil box for
Model T's or some other make of car?

Thanks
Roger

Late 1912 early 1913 Heinze. My October 1912 build 1913 has this exact box. Brass plates hardware is all riveted to the wood.
1913 Canadian Touring & 1905 Queen, both cars are 4 generation family owned cars

Thanks, Darren for confirming its Model T. Any thoughts on the 661-paper tag?

It is the box number. The same number should be in the cover.
