Pictures missing in old threads

Post by Dan Hatch » Sun Mar 30, 2025 10:42 am

I have several old forum threads on how to do things in my favorites. Now when I go to them the pictures are gone. What’s happened? Is it me or is it this new ID yourself every time you get on here program?

Not sure about how it happens, purging, server upgrades, dead links, or just SH...
But I belong to a Bullitt Mustang site where 100% of the posted pictures from 15-24 yrs back no longer exist. An unfortunate loss of history. For that reason, now every time I see any forum thread I wish to bookmark, I also copy over any pics I wish to save....
Call me anything you want...just so long as it isn't "late for dinner"

Dan, I had the same thing happening to me and it did coincide with the new ID/verify protocol. Even doing a Google/Bing search for topics the images would come up when just looking for images, but once you clicked to go to the original thread (old Forum primarily, not the new Forum) everything was there except for the pictures/images. Just the other day however all the images showed back up in the old Forum links. You may just need to search out new links to the items in your favorites list.
