Where it all began: The Selden Patent suit begins - 1903.
Ford Motor Co. began selling cars in July 1903. The company experienced immediate success, and sold almost 200 cars by the start of their first full fiscal year, beginning October 1, 1903. The Electric Vehicle Co. wasted little time initiating a law suit. This author indicates the suit is expected to last for years. He was right.
