Stewart Warner 490 speedometers 1926/1927 $150

Post by 26-Roadster/pu » Fri Aug 01, 2025 12:12 pm

I have two Stewart Warner speedometer heads. Look like NOS.
Tested with a cable and drill motor. Both working.
$150 each or $250 for the pair.

Dang, Every Model 490 speedo I see is the early model which uses the cable that just jams up into the head and is held in place by a bracket made onto the speedo end of the cable and is held in place on the speedo head with a screw. The later production used a threaded ferrule simular to the Model A speedo heads and is a much more satisfactory and secure way to join the cable to the head. I wish one of yours was the late model. I have two just like yours.

These are nice speedometers. These would be a great replacement or good backup for a 490 speedometer you already have. I’d like to see someone put some miles on these speedometers. Thanks for looking
