Simmons/Wizard spray needle or jet question

Is there any demand for either a spray needle or jet for the above carburetors?

There aren't that many of these carbs out there relative to NH's and L-4's so I know there is a pretty strict limit to demand. I just would like to gauge just HOW limited it would be. My shelves are presently lined with unloved and unwanted parts as it is and I don't want to add to that collection unnecessarily.

Scott the biggest drawback in my opinion is that many are missing the spray needle and flap. I got lucky and the one I got had the flap but was missing the needle. Made my own but would have been nice to have one that was a little more on "center" and better finish.

FWIW - I always assumed that Wizard, Simmons and "Pat'd" (Duplex) were 100% all the same, but now that I'm looking into them, While the spray needles are the same, I've found that the jets are apparently of 2 distinct designs - subtle differences, but still different.

The flaps are the biggest issue. Roger Hallett made a couple from a file I sent him and they turned out nice. Neither one of us plan on going in to production of them. Let me know if you want to discuss further.

thank you for the offer but while I agree that flappers are the biggest problem, I don't plan to reproduce them at this time. Too much trouble for too few specimens. Thanks again.

I've corrected my part to comport with dimensions you supplied via PM, and also verified against other samples that I've since located on-line. I believe this version as I've now documented in my notebook accurately reflects an accurate copy of the original.

I was bored the other day and decided this was a worthwhile albeit quick little project. Until I recently searched the Forum, I forgot that I'd asked pretty much this same original question a number of months ago. I found the post and still don't remember posting it!

Additionally, with respect to the jet, after very careful comparison to about 20 old original NH jets, I've discovered that there are more things different than just the length of the Simmons jet as well, too. Always something new in automotive archeology...

In the Model T world, reproduction parts range from unusable, to poor, and acceptable to exact or perhaps improved. I try to stay on the upper end of things. Otherwise, I feel it's just a waste of time and material.
