I like "Mountain Curve" I couldn't find it in the auction listings. Hopefully it found a good home in Rich's family.

I bid on a number of his panting's at the auction. I really wanted only 1 but sent a lot of bids up to those watching to see who was bidding and what they were bidding for(a trick I learned from my father that over the years made an incredible amount of money at Government surplus auctions.

The only one I really wanted was the Around the World Thomas. I have a close relationship with the Thomas, as I had hands on experience with it when I worked at Harrah's Automobile Collection. I will post it on here next week. It is magnificent hanging on the wall in my home. Honestly I look at it every time I walk into my living room. Like most of his pictures the more ties you look at them the more detail you discover for the 1st time.

just sayin'

I would have liked to buy more of his paintings but after I got the car I quit bidding on other items. I think I paid top dollar for the car but it was the one I wanted most. I wanted his 1907 Buick but I was a little afraid of being able to maintain it. The local Buick dealer bought it. His bus, T speedster and T runabout were bought by local billionaire Frank VanderSloot. I bid on the Thomas Flyer painting too. I’m glad you are enjoying it. The walls all over Rich’s house literally had paintings stacked against them. He was a very talented and prolific artist. I got this one too.

Here’s a piece of functional art that I bought at Rich’s auction. I think he had the top up most of the time. I leave it down most of the time because it won’t fit through my garage door with the top up. I think it looks better down anyway. For those who don’t know, almost every part of the body was made by Rich including door handles, hinges, hardware, lamp burners, upholstery, top, hood, etc.
