Edit the photo
Trimming it by a little goes a long way to reducing its file size

Yes, that is a magneto from the 1900's: https://oldcroak.com/k-w-ignition-company-magnetos/
The 'ALC' has five magnets, is for ignition and lighting and cost (in 1909) the sum of $50.

Re: What do I have here ?
A Whiteman,
Thanks for posting the information on the K-W magneto.
Reading the catalogue description,
"I am guessing" that in the case of a model T this would be used in the event of a Ford magneto failure.
In 1910 the Ford magneto was the only source of ignition, (this was pre generator models), and repairing the magneto meant removing the engine, which is not a simple job.
Installing a K-W magneto would get you back on the road pretty quick (although $50.00 in 1910 would have been a lot of money)
It looks like would you drive it from the front crankshaft pulley with a flat belt.
Not sure what you would do about the Fan?
Anyway this is interesting stuff!
Dave
