Today the San Duego club had a Social Distancing Tour from the city out to Campo, a distance of about 45 miles each way. Along the way we climbed to about 4000 feet just outside Pine Valley. We had ten Model Ts on the run and one Hudson.
At the end of the run two of the truck and trailers had been towed as we didn’t have a permit to use the Park and Ride. This will be investigated hummm. I smell a scam.
In Campo the choice was a Subway sandwich or Mexican take out. All the Ts made the run with only minor problems, too much oil in the commutator while the Hudson lost a clutch on the return journey. Social Distancing Tour

Boy!!! You guys are real pioneers. This is the first tour that I have heard of since this whole Covid19 mess started. Your courage and obvious love of the hobby will lead the way for other Model Ts to get out and tour. I think this is wonderful.
Way to go, ...you rebels.

Re: Social Distancing Tour
Aww heck..so did our club last Saturday! Started out with 6 cars plus one modern...ended up with 5 at our destination as the last car got a flat tire. Good thing for the modern car following!
In the group photo my 13 is far left...and did Russ fall down or just checking something? LOL

Re: Social Distancing Tour
First time I had my model T out since about early March. Did take a couple runs to the post office to drop off some mail and get stamps, but that is all. We met the rest of the tour as they went by Alpine, about 15 miles from the start. Good drive to Campo. Good sandwich and visited with some of the masked club members at 6' distance. Our car is not in the pictures posted above, but made it all the way. We didn't need to use the trailer because we drove from home. Glad we didn't because Dolores won't drive either the T or the pickup!
